Re: Passings

i don't post as often as i should, but i did want to pass on my thoughts about the passing of les blank.

he was silent filmmaker who may not have surpassed errol morris or the likes of other filmmakers but "burden of dreams" is a very close film to me.

RIP les blank

Re: Video

it's laughable how many movies are illegaly shown in full on youtube now. youtube clearly suck at moderating each and every upload. obviously there are a lot that are legal to be shown but either way it's good for us. this is great, you should post this as a separate discussion, "streaming movies" ...

Re: What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

tree of life- my advice to you is to be patient. a lot of great cinematography, though not a lot of dialogue. i wasn't in love with the ending either and i dont think ill go in to it. i'll dissect the film another time since most of you haven't viewed this film. overall it's something that grew on m...

CAVE OF FORGOTTEN DREAMS - Honestly, was kind of expecting better cave footage, though it's obvious they were very restricted. Still, some great/really strange camerawork... you definitely feel like you're under ground. There were some really insane shots using this really dope camera-copter, where...

Ex Drummer Three "handicapped" men elect a famous author who lives in the area to become their drummer. What unfolds is a variety of disturbing events which leads me to believe the director (Koen Mortier) was trying to cover every base. I haven't read a synopsis that does the movie justice. http://...
