Re: Video

boards of canada - all you do is a balloon

the video was sampled from "one got fat" (1963) which is a bicycle safety movie ... the kids are wearing ape mask's and get killed one after another by cars ... i think .. this is somehow damn good ....

Re: Keeping the Site Up-To-Date and Improvements in General

a good idea would be to build up the news page upon a content management system. sadly its not that easy to set up, but once its working, its very easy to post news. you also can give people login names and they can add / remove news and all similair stuff like that. you can set it up so its all aut...

Re: Delete Threads

I'm not sure if that is a good idea. Sometimes the thread might be interesting, and we had people that wanted to delete their own posts, and if they were the first poster, the whole thread would be gone. Sometimes that would be not that good i think. I check the board everyday, so if anyone wants to...

Re: What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I watched a great film from Ireland called Garage the other night. I'm not sure if I liked the ending but something about the character and pacing is absolutely brilliant. It played at Director's Fortnight in 2007 and is probably on DVD in the UK, I found it on KG. don't watch the trailer, it's ter...

Re: Halloween Party Suggestions

i could recommend suspiria, society, martyrs, braindead, rabid grannies, evil dead! i'm not that much into "horror/splatter" films, but i think those were either funny / enertaining or just good. as i was a bit smaller i liked "horror flicks" much more. i think those films work the best when you are...

Re: What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

i just saw many of ulrich seidl's first shorts (der busenfreund, spass ohne grenzen, die letzten maenner, eins vierzig) and i thought they were so amazing. i really liked each one of them, and i think better about seidl then ever before. he is a true master, and probably the best german-speaking dir...

Re: Is there a Julien Donkey-Boy soundtrack CD?

thats what i was trying to say. they are no real rules, but ideas of how you should limit yourself. it is widely known by now, and it was never intendent to be a law. i'm not sure if it was van trier, but i think someone wanted a "confession" from korine, in which he describes in which way he "broke...

Re: Is there a Julien Donkey-Boy soundtrack CD?

I'm sure there is none. This doesnt meet up with the Dogme Manifesto, usually Dogme Films doesnt contain any Music at all, except for Live played things. JDB almost slipped through anyway cause of its usage of Music and its "fake pregnancy". The Manifesto is not that "strict" though, it should be ta...

this is hilarious. if the spongebog scene is not dubbed, they really referenced julien donkey boy.
i would really like to know which episode this is from.
