Cosmopolis

Great in an unexpected way, don't trust the trailer, the film is quiet, slow and not that crazy.

I seriously love that film. Kinda bummed about Cosmopolis not being as crazy as the trailer, though having read the book after seeing the initial teaser i'm not that surprised...

From Justin to Kelly - Laughably bad.
Glitter - Bad, but really not as terrible as I was expecting.
Eat The Schoolgirl - Great.
The Loved Ones - Hell of a lot better than Prom Night.
Last Tango in Paris - Amazing.
My Life and Times with Antonin Artaud - Good movie about a brilliant French writer.
Fear, Anxiety, & Depression - I don't understand why Solondz rejected this movie. It's one of his best.
Love is Colder than Death - Good.
The Prefab People - Nice to see early Bela Tarr.
Hong Kil Dong - Not bad. North Korean Robin Hood.
Exterminating Angel - Hilarious, but not Bunuel's best.
Girls in my Hometown - Nothing like good ol' North Korean propaganda.
The Check Out - I love Giuseppe Andrews.
Blood of Havana - Good.
Mac & Plac - Love.
Centre Forward - Good.
Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure - Interesting.
From 5 PM to 5 AM - Pretty good. A North Korean propaganda film with the guy from Crossing The Line.
Mauvais Sang (Bad Blood) - Excellent.
Bruce LaBruce: Advocate for Fagdom - Labruce is the man.
Boy Meets Girl - Great.
The Phantom of Liberty - Excellent.
Blubberella - Just... ridiculous, but I admire Uwe for spoofing on his own movie.
Herakles - Herzog's first. It would have been nicer with subtitles.
Last Words - Alright.
The Unprecedented Defense of The Fortress Deutschkreutz - Good.
Huie's Sermon - Interesting.
The Flying Doctors of East Africa - Genuine Herzog.
Wings of Hope - Again, genuine Herzog. Similar story to Little Dieter Needs to Fly.
LA Zombie - Good, but not Labruce's best.
Fraulein - My least favorite from Haneke.
Tenderness of Wolves - Great. I don't know what happened to Lommel...
Dirty Like An Angel - Good.
Schoof - Another great one from Giuseppe.
Super 8 1/2 - Labruce's best.
Variation - Not bad.
The Trial of Joan of Arc - Great.
Shame - Pretty good. Original.
Three Paths to the Lake - Alright.
Lovers on the Bridge - One of the best films I've seen in a while.
L'argent - Great.
Mamma Roma - Not bad.
Lancelot of the Lake - Quite good.
Turen til Squashland (Trip to Squashland) - Lars von Trier made this when he was 12, I believe. Interesting watch.
Orchidegartneren (The Orchid Gardener) - von Trier made this in film school. It's okay.
Why Try to Escape from Which You Know You Can't Escape from? Because You Are a Coward - Another young Trier movie. I enjoyed it.
En blomst (A Flower) - Yet another one. I liked this one the best.
Befrielsesbilleder - Trier's first full length film. It's alright.
Beau Travail - Good.
The Last Days of Immanuel Kant - Good, although I was hoping for more.
The Young Lady and the Holligan - Long live Mayakovsky!
Kino-Pravda - Reels from the Soviet news/propaganda. Really interesting stuff.
Beyond The Mat - I forgot how fascinating this was.
NWF Kids Pro Wrestling: The Untold Story - A documentary about a child wresting organization that got bigger than the creators expected. Interesting story with an unfortunate downfall.
Daniel – Der Zauberer (Daniel – The Wizard) - Just awful.
Caput - :)
The Condemned - Not good at all. A Battle Royale rip-off.
Come Undone - Okay.
L'arbre, le maire et la mediatheque - Certainly not Rohmer's best.
The Castle - Excellent.
I am Curious (Yellow) - Excellent.
I am Curious (Blue) - I preferred the subject matter of Yellow, but this was still great.
The Hottie & The Nottie - Badddd.
Pigsty - Excellent.
Bremer Freiheit - Really good, and interesting. I like the background effect Fassbinder did.
Nightwatching - Greenaway still has it!
Tepepa - Great spaghetti western.
A Fistful of Dollars - Another great spaghetti western.
Beware of a Holy Whore - Excellent.
Young Thugs: Nostalgia - Not bad.
La Collectionneuse (The Collector) - One of the best from Rohmer that I've seen.
The Last Movie - Great.
God Bless America - This was just awesome.
Hot Love - How can you not dig Jorg?
Summer Blues - Good short. Quite sad.
Sappho: Venus of Lesbos (The Warrior Empress) - Eh... too inaccurate and hollywoodized for me.
Confessions of an Opium Eater - Pretty funny. Nothing like de Quincey's novel though.
Chuck & Buck - Chuck and buck and suck and fuck. This is one of the best I've seen in a while, along with LOTB.
Everything is Terrible: The Movie - Silly.
Love in the Afternoon - Great.
Beyond The Black Rainbow - Really enjoyed this. The soundtrack went perfectly with the visual chaos portrayed. It had a creepy/eerie vibe throughout. Tarkovsky reinvented.
Oedipus Rex - Excellent.
Beat - Eh, it was good but seemed a bit off as far as realistic portrayal goes. I found it interesting that the main focus was on the least recognized of the beats, Lucien Carr and Joan Burroughs.
Accattone - Really good.
Claire's Knee - Alright.

I'm currently watching La Commune (Paris, 1871). The (over) 5 hour version.

La Commune (Paris, 1871) - Excellent. Worth the over 5 hour watch, for sure.
Nine Lives of Nestor Makhno - It's too bad subtitles or dubbings don't exist for this film, therefore I couldn't understand the dialogue. But I've learned enough about Nestor and Free Territory, Ukraine to know what was going on, for the most part. It was a bit cheesy (soap-operaish) but it's nice to finally see something about the subject.
Jean-Christophe Averty's Ubu Roi - Alfred Jarry's Theater of the Absurd was truly absurd. Great adaptation.
Pasolini's Arabian Nights - Brilliant. Pasolini hardly ever disappoints me.
