I don´t have a finished list, as there are titles that I think
might belong in the best of 2013 category that I haven´t seen yet.
(Such as the latest by favorites Tsai Ming-Liang, Kim Ki-Duk and Jim Jarmusch)

But these were some of the best films of 2013:

1. Spring Breakers by Harmony Korine
2. The Dance of Reality by Alejandro Jodorowsky
3. The Three Disasters by Jean-Luc Godard
4. Norte, the End of History by Lav Diaz
5. All the great films Giuseppe Andrews put out last year

There are other great ones as well, just can´t think of any right now though..

Top 5
The Hunt
Evil Dead
The Unspeakable Act
Renoir
Her

No real interest in any film that came out this year. Only the Act of Killing but I consider that part of last years crop.

There's a bunch I still want to see before making a list, but the best (so far) is The Hunt, followed with Springbreakers, Blue Jasmine, & Computer Chess.

Here´s a revised list:

1. Spring Breakers by Harmony Korine
2. The Dance of Reality by Alejandro Jodorowsky
3. Stray Dogs by Tsai Ming-Liang
4. The Three Disasters by Jean-Luc Godard
5. Norte, the End of History by Lav Diaz
6. Moebius by Kim Ki-Duk
7. Why Don´t You Play in Hell by Sion Sono
8. Stoker by Park Chan-Wook
9. Bastards by Claire Denis
10. Sex Acid/Birth of the Pool by Giuseppe Andrews
11. Lesson of the Evil/Shield of Straw by Takashi Miike

Overall I would say that 2013 is the year that clearly displayed the cultural death of the western world reflected in Cinema (at least for the clear-sighted). For the overseeable future - the eastern part of the world - rules artistic expression in the form of Cinema. Anyone who thinks Cinema from the USA is still where it´s at is fucking kidding themselves. Anyone who would include more than 50% of this years best film crop from the states is a narrowminded racist, who should see more films from other parts of the world. 8)
