my real and full birth name is Marcus Kenneth Bremer. my full name just so happens to be an anagram for "he remembers rank cunt." i'm not shitting you, try it!

i live in jackoffville, floriDUH. i turned 30 years old in august.

i am an artist (draw, paint, write, make music, essentially projecting my thoughts and imagination onto any canvas i can use and in any way i want.

i have been a fan of harmony korine since gummo. i even saw kids, but at that point, harmony korine was just a name on the writing credits, so it wasn't as if it was his film fully. don't get me wrong; larry did a great job with harmony's great script, but the films that harmony has directed since that time are much higher-tier than what kids was.

as far as favorites: i would instinctively say gummo and julien donkey boy, but that would be selling the rest of the films short just due to the nostalgia involved. mister lonely and trash humpers are amazing in many ways all their own.

i look foward to being an active member in this community.

Hello!

My name is James - I'm from London.

I'm doing some work at the moment involving Korine and Havana. Having had a look at the forums, it looks like i've come to the right place for further discussion.

I'm particularly interested in Korine's work for Havana Club and on The Blood of Havana.

I really like the trailer. The goregrind part is a bit silly but I like the rape song and dance scene. Looks like you've captured some striking visuals and confrontations. Don't worry about sending it to Harmony, just keep persevering with getting it shown at film festivals and word will spread. All the best with your movie.

Hi, I'm from Mexico I'm 16 and I hate that there's very few people with different tastes of art, here in my country seems like everybody are the same person with different faces 'cause almost all do the same shit everyday. I'll love to meet some new "different" people. I play the sax and I'm thinking of writing a screenplay called "Childhood End"(original idea), hope that some day my work sees light.

*Hello Everybody!!! + *REF: Analogue Hi8???

Postby MarkGilvary » Mon Oct 24, 2011 12:27 pm

*REF: Analogue Hi8

I am hoping that One of You here can help me, and possibly offer me some advice,
if You have it, in relation to the above format.

I am planning to go out and shoot A Short Experimental Film soon on Analogue Hi8. - (SONY CCD-TRV238E) -
I am just wondering if You have ever seen any footage originated on this format
blown up on a Cinema Screen? ... Either on FILM or via a DIGITAL PROJECTOR if it was transferred to A Digital Format Rather than film.

I keep being told that it will look like S**T!!! ...
... I did some tests last week and played them back through a 32" LCD TV Screen
and to be honest they didn't look too bad.

Obviously A Large Cinema Screen is going to be less forgiving & illuminate any Major Flaws, however I'd be interested to hear Your Views on this.

Many Thanks In Advance.

Best Regards,

Mark Gilvary

Hello errbody.

I've visited this site on and off for I think almost 3 years, so I figured I might as well join. I like film obviously and art in general. I paint and been trying to do animation too. This place looks pretty fun. I registered 5 minutes ago I think so I hope to find out some cool news and meet good people here!

I found out about Korine's movies a while ago when I first rented Gummo after hearing about it from a friend as 'a cool movie about nothing.' I think Gummo and Mister Lonely are his best (from what I've seen of his work anyway.) Julien Donkey Boy: I can't seem to get anything from even though I really wanted to like it. I want to see Trash Humpers still
and hope to see his new stuff coming up. I also saw the short film he made starring the Die Antwoord rappers which I enjoyed too. I already liked Die Antwoord and actually thought they reminded of characters from Gummo when seeing them in the Rolling Stone! So when I found HK was making a short with them I was like "Oh! Perfect combo!"

Hello,
I've been visting the website for some time too, so yeah, figured it would be nice to join the board.
As for my story, my name is Julien, I'm from Quebec. So yeah, my english may seem a little sketchy sometimes.
Anyway, I'm 18, and I try to make movie, short stories, music, art and other stuff when I have time and enough concentration.
