What are you listening to right now?

Postby EclecticEnnui » Wed Feb 16, 2005 12:52 am

I last bought the deluxe edition of the Downward Spiral, by Nine Inch Nails. The first disk is currently in my CD player.

I just got the new Bonnie Prince Billy CD he did with Matt Sweeney so I've been listening to that. I'm also listening to a lot of Joanna Newsom, Explosions in the Sky, and Leonard Cohen.

I got stoned and listened to "Bombs Over Bagdhad" the other night, and I can't stop listening to it. I think it might be the most complex hip-hop song ever composed (well, that and "Hey Ya").

Also Sung Tongs by Animal Collective. And some Billy Joel. And Devendra Banhart.

forever changes is one of the best albums ever made. This one is good too, especially the 18 minute b side.

chrysalis - definition (1968) -- unbelievable great album from end of the 70's. the lyrics are in parts kind of strange and poetic, but not silly. half of the tracks ore something has their focus on insects, but really good written. it has also some really funny parts. not one track is bad. lovely stuff.

Right this second I'm listening to a live performance from Smoosh,
I saw these indie-pop brats open for Cat Power a while back.
Click right this second and you can listen live with 3 different players:

after it's over you'll have to listen to the archive edition, using that FUCKING(even if you the fastest connection)HO Real Player:

Youngest group that's ever been on MBE!
