THE ALUMINUM FOWL ONLINE

James Clauer’s short film The Aluminum Fowl, produced by Korine with O’Salvation, has been selected to appear at the Sundance Film Festival (January 19 – 29 in Park City, Utah, USA). The film will also appear in competition at the prestigious Rotterdam Film Festival (January 25 – February 5 in The Netherlands), where it is nominated for the Tiger Award in the short film category. There is a new article about Clauer and his film at nashvillescene.com (December 8); there he says he originally planned to make a documentary on rapper Flavor Flav. Clauer’s cinematographer, Brent Stewart, recently directed his own film in Blackberry Winter, also produced by Korine, and the Silver Jews’ music video for How Can I Love You if You Wont Lie Down, which can be seen here.

TRASTEVERINE

Trasteverine, the clothing label of Michalyn Andrews and Brian Frank, have had friend Harmony Korine photograph pieces from their Spring 2006 collected, titled “Silk Power.” An article about Trasteverine can be found on the lower right side of this page here, and the official site is trasteverine.com. Both links include Korine’s photos. Thanks to Chris Lusher.
