James Clauer’s short film The Aluminum Fowl, produced by Korine with O’Salvation, has been selected to appear at the Sundance Film Festival (January 19 – 29 in Park City, Utah, USA). The film will also appear in competition at the prestigious Rotterdam Film Festival (January 25 – February 5 in The Netherlands), where it is nominated for the Tiger Award in the short film category. There is a new article about Clauer and his film at (December 8); there he says he originally planned to make a documentary on rapper Flavor Flav. Clauer’s cinematographer, Brent Stewart, recently directed his own film in Blackberry Winter, also produced by Korine, and the Silver Jews’ music video for How Can I Love You if You Wont Lie Down, which can be seen here.
