Just Jared is today reporting that Harmony Korine’s new project is set to start shooting on February 12th. The site also reports that “Pretty Little Liars” star Ashley Benson is replacing Emma Roberts, who dropped out of the project a few weeks ago. She will head to Florida to shoot the film alongside James Franco, “Glee”‘s Heather Morris, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Rachel Korine.
Ace Showbiz and various other sites are reporting that Emma Roberts has pulled out of the forthcoming Harmony Korine project “Spring Breakers”. Sources say that Roberts, niece of Hollywood actress Julia Roberts, suffered created differences with Korine and the project that could not be resolved.
If she would’ve stayed on Roberts would’ve portrayed a Southern brunette who feeds off of danger. The project is due to start filming this spring break with Rachel Korine, “Glee” star Heather Morris, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, James Franco all attached to star. No word yet on who will replace Roberts.

A quote from the interview:
Harmony Korine: What’s true about me or what’s made up in my movies, it’s all the same, and it’s perfect. The ultimate truth is boring, and it doesn’t mean anything anyway.

Earlier this month it was reported that Selena Gomez along with Vanessa Hudgens, James Franco and Emma Roberts had signed on to a new Harmony Korine project entitled “Springbreakers”. MTV managed to get a few words from Gomez with regards to the project. Gomez told reporters:
The beginning of next year I will be starting my new movie called ‘Spring Breakers’, I’m really, really excited about it. It’s a different character than I have ever played before. It’s a different kind of vibe I think than people are used to seeing me in. What you’re going to see is more raw, I think. It’s going to be raw and more about acting.
The film is set to shoot next year during spring break with Korine writing and directing. Rachel Korine is also set to star.
Harmony Korine and James Franco recently banded together in aid of the installation piece “REBEL” which had it’s premiere this year at the Venice Biennale. The full project features three short films directed by Korine (“Caput”), Franco (“Brad Forever”) and Douglas Gordon (“Henry Rebel Drawing and Burning”).
