Mister Lonely is included in the program for next month's Toronto International Film Festival (September 4 through to September 13 - link). The North American rights to Mister Lonely having been acquired by IFC, according to a recent Hollywood Reporter article (link). Some time after the TIFF screening, they will simultaneously release the film in theatres and through their video-on-demand channel IFC in Theatres, the article states.

The current date given for the North American release of Mister Lonely is "early 2008."
